There are two semesters in one academic year in Xinjiang Normal University . The academic year begins in August or September and ends in July. Courses are scheduled during the two terms of the academic year. Fall term is early September to mid- or late January of the following year. Spring term is late February until mid-July. There are about 20 weeks in one semester.
