International Seminar of “the Silk Road Economic Belt and Eurasian Economic Union” Held by Confucius Institute of Kyrgyz National University

On April 24, the international seminar of “the Silk Road Economic Belt and Eurasian Economic Union” was jointly held by the Confucius Institute and Financial College of Kyrgyz National University . More than 60 honored guests, experts and scholars attended the seminar who came from our school, China-capital enterprises, Russia government, Turkey government, Kazakhstan government, and Kyrgyzstan government. The president of Kyrgyz National University also attended the seminar.
       Zhu Shisong, director of the Silk Road Economic Belt Research Center of our school and a associate researcher of China’s Eastern Borderland Safety and Development Synergy Innovation Center of Sichuan University, made a speech in Economic Openness—One of the Conditions for Cooperatively Establishing Silk Road Economic Belt. He pointed out that China economy would further open to foreign countries, strengthen the absorption of foreign investment, and optimize the development of the industries which accord with markets’ demands and enjoy the welfare brought by economic integration in the progress of cooperatively establishing Silk Road Economic Belt with other countries. In group discussion, people mainly focused on five topics of “the research on the relationship between Silk Road Economic Belt and Eurasian Economic Union”, “the economic cooperation prospect in the frame of Silk Road Economic Belt”, “the influence of the duty union participation of Kyrgyzstan on China”, “the function of Kyrgyzstan on the formation of Silk Road Economic Belt”, “the development prospect of economy and trade relation among the countries on Silk Road Economic Belt”.
       This seminar is an international conference which has distinct topic and diversified contents; it is hosted by our School’s Cooperative Confucius Institute of Kyrgyz National University combining the geographical superiority; and it is hosted under the strategic background of putting forward establishing “New Silk Road Economic Belt”. This seminar promotes the communication of economy, politics and culture in Central Asia areas. The Xinhua News Agency of China stationed in Kyrgyz, national television station of Kyrgyz and other media reported this seminar on spot.
